Experts are saying she risks \u201cfalling apart\u201d without continued support after the troubled 44-year-old singer checked herself into a treatment facility following a DUI charge on 4 March, with her representative confirming the move to Page Six. <\/p>\n
She is due to appear in court on 4 May over her alleged DUI incident. <\/p>\n
Britney is said to have entered treatment voluntarily after being taken into custody when authorities observed her swerving between lanes and allegedly discovered an unknown substance in her car. <\/p>\n
She was released the following morning. <\/p>\n
\nSources cited by Page Six said she was \u201cashamed and embarrassed\u201d and viewed the incident as a wake-up call. <\/p>\n
\nExperts have since emphasised the importance of a sustained recovery plan following treatment.<\/p>\n
\nRichard Tatie, founder of Carrara Treatment, told Page Six: \u201cA strong post-treatment plan means continued therapy, accountability, and a controlled environment that supports early recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cIf that piece isn\u2019t taken seriously, even great treatment won\u2019t hold.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRichard also said: \u201cKeeping (patients) supported after they leave is what actually determines the outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe added entering rehab is only the beginning of recovery and stressed the need for an adaptable approach. <\/p>\n
\nRichard said: \u201cThat means identifying what\u2019s actually driving the behaviour and adjusting the clinical approach in real time.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cGood treatment isn\u2019t static, it evolves as the patient does.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAt the time of her arrest, sources said Britney was \u201cincredibly emotional\u201d and concerned about letting down those close to her, including her fans. <\/p>\n
\nShe later addressed the situation on Instagram, sharing posts featuring her son Jayden Federline, 19.<\/p>\n
\nBritney wrote: \u201cThank you guys for all your support\u2026 spending time with family and friends is such a blessing!\u201d<\/p>\n
