Donald Trump<\/strong> is comparing himself to Jesus Christ while escalating attacks against the leader of the Catholic Church. <\/p>\n Late on Sunday evening (April 12), the 79-year-old president took to social media to slam Pope Leo<\/strong>, who has become an outspoken critic of the ongoing war in Iran and has directly urged Trump<\/strong> to seek an \u201coff-ramp\u201d<\/a> for the military action. <\/p>\n In a heated statement, Trump<\/strong> slammed Pope Leo<\/strong> as being \u201cweak on crime, and terrible for foreign policy,\u201d amongst other complaints. He also took credit for the pope being selected as the leader of the faith. <\/p>\n Less than an hour later, he returned to share an AI-generated photo depicting himself as Jesus, the son of God, seemingly performing a miracle. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPope Leo is WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy,\u201d Trump<\/strong> wrote on Truth Social<\/a>. \u201cHe talks about \u2018fear\u2019 of the Trump Administration, but doesn\u2019t mention the FEAR that the Catholic Church, and all other Christian Organizations, had during COVID when they were arresting priests, ministers, and everybody else, for holding Church Services, even when going outside, and being ten and even twenty feet apart.\u201d<\/p>\n Continuing, he wrote, \u201cI like his brother Louis much better than I like him, because Louis is all MAGA. He gets it, and Leo doesn\u2019t!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want a Pope who thinks it\u2019s OK for Iran to have a Nuclear Weapon. I don\u2019t want a Pope who thinks it\u2019s terrible that America attacked Venezuela, a Country that was sending massive amounts of Drugs into the United States and, even worse, emptying their prisons, including murderers, drug dealers, and killers, into our Country. And I don\u2019t want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I\u2019m doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History,\u201d he seethed. <\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> described Pope Leo<\/strong>\u2018s selection as pope as being \u201ca shocking surprise,\u201d explaining, \u201cHe wasn\u2019t on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf I wasn\u2019t in the White House, Leo wouldn\u2019t be in the Vatican. Unfortunately, Leo\u2019s Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested. Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It\u2019s hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it\u2019s hurting the Catholic Church!\u201d the president concluded. <\/p>\n In the shocking photo<\/a> that he later posted on Truth Social, Trump<\/strong> appeared to be channeling Jesus in a white robe with a red stole.<\/p>\n As fighter jets and eagles flew across the sky and an American flag billowed in the background, the president placed his glowing hand upon a man who appeared to be in a hospital bed. The implication appeared to be that Trump<\/strong> was performing a miracle to heal the man as others, including a praying woman and a nurse, looked on in awe. <\/p>\n Just Jared<\/strong> contacted the White House for comment on the photo, but did not hear back at the time of publication. <\/p>\n This is not the first time that Trump<\/strong> has directly compared himself to Jesus within the last few weeks.
