JoJo Siwa<\/a> reveals how golf has helped her get closer to her father.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
JoJo Siwa has opened up on her bond with parents Tom and Jessalynn<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old former child star, who rose to fame on Dance Moms, has insisted while some people might expect people in her position to “fall out” with their parents, she has seen the opposite happen as she’s grown up with Tom and Jessalynn.<\/p>\n
She told PEOPLE magazine: “It\u2019s interesting. I feel like a lot of times, people expect child stars and their parents to kind of fall out over time, [but] my parents and I, we’ve only gotten closer.<\/p>\n
“I’ve recently taken up golf, which has brought me very close to my dad.”<\/p>\n
JoJo continued her career on Nickelodeon and later released EP Guilty Pleasure in 2024 before appearing on the likes of Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing With The Stars.<\/p>\n
\nShe explained that she and her mother have always been “so close”, and it’s been great to see the bond with her father blossom.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I’ve found a lot of fun golfing with him and it’s been really special because, obviously, my mom and I are so close, you know, she, she is my other half\u2026<\/p>\n
\n“I shouldn’t say she’s my other half because technically [my boyfriend] Chris [Hughes] would be my other half, but my mom is my right-hand man throughout everything in my life.<\/p>\n
\n“And so now to have golfing with my dad’s been lovely.”<\/p>\n
\nJoJo and former Love Island star Chris, 33, have been dating for almost a year after meeting on UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother, and she’s glad to have found such a perfect match.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cIt’s just \u2026 he’s my person. And everything in life, you’ll always find the good and the bright side when it’s your person.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThere’s no right way to inspire anyone to make a relationship work at all. It just, it works when it works. And trust me, it doesn’t work when it doesn’t work.”<\/p>\n
