Jesse Tyler Ferguson<\/a>. <\/p>\nHeather said she had been underestimated at school before securing the role of Mercedes Lane in License to Drive, which she described as a turning point that brought financial independence and visibility.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cI was nerdy. You know, I was smart, and I was just, like, nobody thought I was that pretty.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I got this job as, like, the popular, pretty cheerleader, and I had very bad style and bad hair and makeup. Like, I did not know how to, like, do that. And then people were like, \u2018Oh?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201c(The movie) came out right as I was graduating. And I think people were like, \u2018Well, maybe we should have paid attention to her\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHeather added about the role, which she secured at 17, being a defining moment: \u201cIt was huge for me. Like, that was a huge moment. I got to make money. I was independent. I had a bank account, you know, and I could live on my own.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFollowing early appearances in commercials and television, Heather went on to roles in Drugstore Cowboy and Swingers before gaining wider recognition. <\/p>\n
\nHer subsequent work included Bowfinger and later The Hangover, alongside continued work in film and television and projects in writing and directing. <\/p>\n
\nHer latest film, They Will Kill You, was released in March.<\/p>\n
\nIn a separate interview with Us Weekly, Heather spoke about her approach to ageing and cosmetic treatments. <\/p>\n
\nShe said she had \u201cnever had an actual operation where they\u2019re cutting my face open\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHeather added: \u201cSome of those laser treatments are torture. Like, an hour and a half of your face getting blasted.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe said she preferred to avoid invasive procedures, adding: \u201cI feel like some people get facelifts and they just kind of end up looking like\u2026 I mean, there are people that get it, and it\u2019s good. But I just don\u2019t want to be one of those people that got it and look freaky.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I don\u2019t know if (when) I got older, I wouldn\u2019t completely rule out. Who knows, in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe also described her lifestyle habits, saying she maintains a balanced diet, prioritises sleep, and practises yoga.<\/p>\n
