The Pitt<\/em>\u2018s Supriya Ganesh<\/strong> will no longer be joining her costars at an upcoming event after news broke of her exit from the show.<\/p>\n \u201cHi everyone \u2014 not sure why it\u2019s not removed off the site but I will not be at Paleyfest this Sunday,\u201d Ganesh, 28, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, April 10. \u201cI know some of you bought tickets to see me and I hope you know this is not a decision I take lightly. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n It was originally announced in February that Ganesh was set to appear<\/a> at the panel alongside showrunner R. Scott Gemmill<\/strong> and cast members Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa, Isa Briones, Shawn Hatosy, Sepideh Moafi<\/strong> and Taylor Dearden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Ahead of the big night, Briones, 27, Hatosy, 50, and Moafi, 40, were removed from the schedule due to other commitments. Ganesh\u2019s announcement on Thursday comes shortly after fans learned that her character, Dr. Samira Mohan, will not be featured on season 3.<\/a><\/p>\n Variety<\/em> reported earlier this month that the decision was \u201cstory-driven\u201d due to the nature<\/a> of a show set in a teaching hospital. Ayesha Harris\u2019 role as Dr. Parker Ellis, meanwhile, is being elevated.<\/p>\n Ganesh has not yet addressed her departure, which to some fans felt familiar after Tracy Ifeachor<\/strong>\u2018s shocking exit in July 2025. Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed at the time that Ifeachor would not return as Heather Collins in season 2, with a source revealing that it was always the plan for Ifeachor\u2019s character \u2014 who was a fourth-year resident in the first season \u2014 to move on with her career.<\/a><\/p>\n The insider noted that Ifeachor \u201cdidn\u2019t choose to leave the show\u201d and wasn\u2019t aware of \u201cany doors being closed\u201d on a possible return. Ifeachor seemed to have a different outlook while speaking to Us months later.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was just such a joy and a pleasure to play Dr. Heather Collins and to know that my character has been so phenomenally well-received. It just blew me away,\u201d Ifeachor told Us<\/em> in September 2025. \u201cI don\u2019t know where she will be on the weekend of next season, but I know where I\u2019m going to be, which is on my next project, which is just so amazing. But I take the lessons that I\u2019ve learned from playing Dr. Heather Collins \u2014 playing this character who goes through such a traumatic event and still shows up every day for other people.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued: \u201c[No one] stops to ask if she\u2019s OK, if she needs time out, if she needs to run away. I think as a woman, sometimes we carry a lot of emotional labor without even knowing it. I\u2019ve learned that through this character, so I wouldn\u2019t change that.
