First lady Melania Trump<\/strong><\/a> surprised many when she released a statement denying any connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 including her husband, President Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following Melania\u2019s Thursday, April 9, statement to the press, MS NOW<\/em><\/a> reported that they had a \u201cbrief phone call\u201d with the president, 79, where he allegedly told the outlet he had no prior knowledge of his wife\u2019s plans to speak out on the topic.<\/p>\n

The publication alleged that \u201cmany\u201d White House staffers were also \u201ccaught off guard\u201d by Melania\u2019s impromptu statement.<\/p>\n

The president, however, backed up his wife\u2019s claims about Epstein, telling MS NOW<\/em>, \u201cShe didn\u2019t know [him].\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania, 55, addressed speculation that she met her husband through Epstein<\/a>\u00a0during a Thursday press conference, telling reporters, \u201c[The rumors] with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThe individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility and respect. I do not object to their ignorance but rather I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania claimed that she had \u201cnever been friends\u201d with Epstein, who was convicted in 2008 for soliciting a minor for prostitution. Prior to his death by suicide in 2019, Epstein was awaiting trial on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhen Hillary Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee in a closed deposition, she denied having any connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. There was one alleged statement from the late billionaire, however, she didn\u2019t take offense to \u2014 and it made everyone in the room laugh. \u201cMr. Epstein is commenting and he quotes, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Beginning in December 2025, the Department of Justice has been releasing Epstein\u2019s alleged correspondence in the form of email exchanges, documents and more, which have been dubbed the Epstein Files as part of an FBI investigation into his actions.<\/p>\n

Many A-listers have been named in these files<\/a>, but Melania slammed the notion that she was one of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cNumerous fake images and statements about Epstein and me have been circulating on social media for years now. Be cautious about what you believe. These images and stories are completely false,\u201d Melania said in her Thursday statement. \u201cI am not a witness or a named witness in connection with any of Epstein\u2019s crimes. My name has never appeared in court documents, depositions, victim statements or FBI interviews surrounding the Epstein matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first lady, who has been married to Donald Sr. since 2005, noted that although the couple were \u201cinvited to many of the same parties as Epstein\u201d she wanted to make it \u201cclear\u201d that she \u201cnever had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice [Ghislaine] Maxwell<\/strong><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania noted that she first \u201ccrossed paths\u201d with Epstein in 2000 while attending an event with her husband. \u201cAt the time, I had never met Epstein and had no knowledge of his criminal undertakings,\u201d she alleged.<\/p>\n

Melania \u2014 who shares son Barron<\/strong><\/a>, 20, with the president \u2014 also acknowledged that she did receive an email once from Maxwell, 64, and replied with \u201ca trivial note.\u201d (Donald Sr. is also father to four older children from his past marriages to Ivana Trump<\/strong> and Marla Maples<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Wolff, 72, who has published four books about President Donald Trump, alleges that Melania, 55, \u201cdeliberately and maliciously\u201d interfered with [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
