Tori Spelling<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is speaking out for the first time after being involved in a car accident<\/span><\/a> in Southern California.<\/p>\n \u201cHi, I just wanted to reach out to everyone. This took me a bit to post, because as most of you know, four of my kids and I and three of their friends were in a car accident a few days before Easter in Temecula,\u201d Spelling, 52, began in a lengthy social media video<\/a> on Tuesday, April 7. \u201cAnd we\u2019re OK, but it\u2019s been really overwhelming. We are so grateful and so lucky because it could have been so much worse.\u201d<\/p>\n Spelling claimed that the driver who hit her car was \u201cspeeding, going crazy, crazy fast\u201d and \u201cwent through a light\u201d before making impact. She recalled realizing the accident was going to happen and doing all she could to protect the kids in her vehicle.<\/p>\n \u201cGuardian angels were definitely with us that day because in a split second I looked and saw he was going to full on impact into the side of our car,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd I turned hard left as hard as I could, as fast as I could, to avoid as much impact on the children as possible. He spun us out.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued by thanking \u201call the first responders\u201d who \u201ctook such good care of the kids\u201d and herself before also sharing her thanks to everyone who has sent their well wishes.<\/p>\n I\u2019m grateful to everyone who has reached out and repeatedly checked on us and offered to do whatever we needed to get us through this and all the blessings everyone has sent,\u201d she shared. \u201cThank you, everybody. Still putting my thoughts together about everything that happened and just so much gratitude for life and the bravery for all the kids in the car for what they went through. So thank you to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n She captioned the post, \u201cGrateful to all the first responders, to everyone that has reached out and checked on us, to all of you and your prayers, and to our guardian angels \u2728\u2665\ufe0f.\u201d Over the weekend, news broke that Spelling, 52, and seven children in her vehicle were reportedly hospitalized after being involved in a car accident.<\/p>\n \u201cOn April 2, 2026, at 5:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 28000 block of Rancho California Road regarding a vehicle collision,\u201d the Riverside Sheriff\u2019s Department said in a statement provided to Us Weekly<\/em>. \u201cUpon arrival, deputies located two vehicles with collision damage. All occupants were medically evaluated at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n Police confirmed the cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no arrests were made on the scene.<\/p>\n Spelling\u2019s rep confirmed to Fox News that the Beverly Hills, 90210<\/i><\/a> actress was taken to a hospital following the crash. Four of her children and three of their friends were also transported in three separate ambulances. (Us<\/i> has reached out to Spelling\u2019s rep for comment.)<\/p>\n Spelling shares Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9, with ex-husband Dean McDermott<\/strong>. (McDermott also shares Jack, 25, with ex-wife Mary Jo Eustace<\/strong>.) When news broke of the accident, it was unclear which kids were in the car during the incident.<\/p>\n One week before the accident, Spelling stepped out for the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards<\/span><\/a> at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.<\/p>\n While chatting with Us<\/i>, the actress gave an update on how her eldest children were doing.<\/p>\n \u201cLiam is out of school. He\u2019s 19. He\u2019s graduated and going into fashion, like, as a designer,\u201d she spilled. \u201cHe has so many creative instincts that come from me.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Stella, she is currently a high school senior preparing to graduate before the summer.<\/p>\n
