Terry Crews<\/strong>\u2018 wife, Rebecca King Crews<\/strong>, has been diagnosed with Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n The couple made an appearance on Today<\/em> to discuss her diagnosis on Monday (April 6), as well as the current state of her health.<\/p>\n The two have been married for nearly 37 years since July of 1989, and have four daughters and a son, as well as one grandchild.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI feel good. I\u2019m able to write my name and my dates, and I\u2019m able to write with my right hand for the first time in probably three years,\u201d Rebecca said, revealing that her symptoms began around 2012 \u2013 including numbness in her left foot that led to a limp, followed by tremors \u2013 leading to a 2015 diagnosis.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe that you don\u2019t lay down and die because you got a diagnosis,\u201d she said, explaining that she\u2019s pursuing a non-invasive surgical procedure, a bilateral focused ultrasound, approved by the FDA in 2025.<\/p>\n The reason she\u2019s decided to \u201ccome forward now\u201d is to discuss the procedure that has helped her.<\/p>\n The procedure involves a device called the Exablate Neuro, developed by Insightec, to deliver ultrasound waves to specific areas on both sides of the brain, per Today<\/em>. <\/p>\n It is considered an \u201cadjunct therapy, meaning it doesn\u2019t replace the need for medication.\u201d<\/p>\n She has had the procedure done on one side of her body, but has noticed her tremor on her right side is gone, improved balance, and reduced need for medication. She\u2019ll get it done on her left side in September.<\/p>\n \u201cPart of the procedure is improved symptoms, so you\u2019re improved on one side (but) not on the other. However, each day that I do things, I\u2019m aware of the benefit that\u2019s already been to me on the one side of the body. So I\u2019m looking forward to doing the left side,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n \n
