Dan Levy opens up about the future of Schitt’s Creek<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old actor – who co-wrote and starred in the hit sitcom with his famous father Eugene – has admitted while he was considering bringing the show back, those plans have been scrapped after O’Hara died in January aged 71 after a brief illness.<\/p>\n
Asked if he would make more episodes, he told CBS’ Sunday Morning: “No, not now. We can’t. I was thinking about it.”<\/p>\n
The show followed the Rose family, who lots their fortune and had to relocate to the titular Schitt’s Creek and had to get used to a very different lifestyle surrounded by a cast of quirky and lovable characters.<\/p>\n
Dan revisited Goodwood, Ontario, which acted as the fictional town in the show, for the new interview.<\/p>\n
\nHe admitted: “It’s tough, it’s tough being back. I didn’t think that I’d have quite an emotional reaction.<\/p>\n
\nJust a lot of memories, a lot of memories with Catherine. It’s what you have to hold on to, is the memories of it all.”<\/p>\n
\nHe tearfully admitted they all 2had the best time” making the show.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: \u201cIt’s an amazing thing to be a part of something that she loved so much. You know, it feels very special. It’s what you have to hold onto, is the memories of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nLast week, Dan revealed he has taken “great comfort” in “how loved” O’Hara was.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after the host offered his condolences, Dan said: \u201cListen, it\u2019s like a collective loss, I think. She was the greatest. She\u2019s irreplaceable.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe great comfort for me has just been to see how loved she was, you know what I mean? The outpouring. Everyone felt like they kind of knew her.”<\/p>\n
\nWhen Catherine’s death was announced earlier this year, Dan paid tribute to his on-screen mom on Instagram.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote on Instagram: \u201cWhat a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O\u2019Hara\u2019s brilliance for all those years.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHaving spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family. It\u2019s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her.<\/p>\n
\nHe concluded, \u201cMy heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke and every member of her big, beautiful family.\u201d<\/p>\n
