Kate Beckinsale<\/strong> is alleging that she was fired over liking a post about a ceasefire in Gaza and that Mark Ruffalo<\/strong> ignored her when she tried reaching out to him because they shared the same agent.<\/p>\n The 52-year-old actress recently responded in the comments section on a video<\/a> shared by Mark<\/strong> that features him talking about and promoting the new film Palestine 36<\/em>. <\/p>\n According to screenshots shared by Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em>, Kate<\/strong> called out Mark<\/strong> over leaving her hanging when she reached out to him after allegedly being fired for liking a post about the Gaza ceasefire.<\/p>\n \u201cIt must be so nice not to be fired by your Agent for liking a post about a ceasefire and not supporting the murdering of children,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI guess having a penis in Hollywood really counts for a lot because you\u2019ve not been fired by the same Agent that I had and she sent me a gift the week before so we didn\u2019t have any beef, but I liked a post about a ceasefire and I\u2019ve got fired on the same day as Susan Sarandon<\/strong> was fired, two days after the end of the strike after nine months of none of us being able to work at all,\u201d Kate<\/strong> claimed. Susan<\/strong> has also talked about being blacklisted in Hollywood<\/a> over her outspoken advocacy.<\/p>\n By strike, she is likely referring to the Screen Actors Guild strike that went from July to November 2023.<\/p>\n The Love & Friendship<\/em> star went on to say that she had been struggling at the time of her firing because she had just learned her mother, Judy Loe<\/strong><\/a>, only \u201chad six weeks to live with brain cancer,\u201d and her stepfather, Roy Battersby<\/strong>, recently had a \u201ccatastrophic stroke on top of two types of cancer\u201d and she was the \u201ccarer for both of them.\u201d<\/p>\n Kate<\/strong> continued, saying the stroke and cancer led to Roy<\/strong>\u2018s death, \u201cI was preparing to fly to England to bring him back so that I could take full care of him and I was fired in two sentences after 12 years of friendship with my Agent and yours who is very close to her elderly parents and definitely knew what I was dealing with, alone.\u201d<\/p>\n While she did not name the agent, she did also add that she reportedly attempted to DM Mark<\/strong> \u201cabout this months ago,\u201d but he ignored her.<\/p>\n In a follow-up comment, she said she was okay with him ignoring her as she felt it was just \u201cmale privilege,\u201d which can be found \u201ceven in the good guys.\u201d<\/p>\n The Underworld<\/em> actress went on to write, \u201cIt is such a given that of course I did not get a response and I really and truly support Mark Ruffalo<\/strong> and everything he is doing but no I@will [sic] not get a response not here and not ever,\u201d asserting that she \u201csent a message to Mark<\/strong> months ago and he ignored it.
