{"id":232484,"date":"2026-04-04T00:00:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T00:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/04\/mel-b-declares-any-potential-spice-girls-documentary-must-be-honest\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T00:00:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T00:00:14","slug":"mel-b-declares-any-potential-spice-girls-documentary-must-be-honest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entertainment.runfyers.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/04\/mel-b-declares-any-potential-spice-girls-documentary-must-be-honest\/","title":{"rendered":"Mel B declares any potential Spice Girls documentary must be &apos;honest&apos;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"byline\">\n<p>        <time itemprop=\"datePublished\" content=\"2026-04-04\" datetime=\"1775260814\" pubdate=\"\">4 April 2026<\/time>\n    <\/p>\n<p>Mel B says any potential Spice Girls documentary must be \u201chonest\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption landscape\">Mel B says any potential Spice Girls documentary must be \u2018honest\u2019<\/p>\n<p>As she ruled out a reunion tour ahead of the group\u2019s 30th anniversary, the singer, 50, spoke in an interview with HELLO! published on Friday (03.04.26), addressing speculation about both a documentary and a possible return to touring for the Spice Girls. <\/p>\n<p>The group \u2013 also comprising of Melanie Chisholm, known as Mel C, Geri Halliwell-Horner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.femalefirst.co.uk\/emma-bunton\/\" class=\"exposure-link \" data-linktrack=\"LinkTracker,articleExposure,emma-bunton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emma Bunton<\/a> and Victoria Beckham \u2013 will mark 30 years since their debut single and album later this year. <\/p>\n<p>While discussions about a documentary have taken place, Mel B indicated there are differing views within the group about how it should be approached.<\/p>\n<p>She said: \u201cI think we\u2019ve all been asked and were all thinking about it at some point.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cIt has to be done in the right way.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cIt has to be honest \u2013 and not everybody wants to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nAsked about a reunion tour to mark the anniversary, Mel B added: \u201cI can tell you it\u2019s not happening.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\nShe also said: \u201cIf it does, it\u2019ll be a shock to me, let\u2019s put it that way. When I look at that (tour) and at the feeling it gave me, I was in my element, but there comes a time\u2026 I\u2019m 50.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cYou can\u2019t be nagging everyone to go on tour if they don\u2019t want to. I laid that to rest when I turned 50.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nMel B said even if the other members were willing to reunite, she is uncertain she would return to the stage. <\/p>\n<p>\nShe added: \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be sitting here if it wasn\u2019t for me being part of the Spice Girls.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cThey\u2019ve done a lot for me as a person and in my life. I\u2019ve got fond memories, but I don\u2019t know if I would want to go back up on stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\nRecent activity among other members has included appearances without Mel B. <\/p>\n<p>\nIn January, Mel C, Geri, Emma and Victoria gathered to celebrate Emma\u2019s 50th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>\nMel B marked the occasion separately on social media, writing: \u201cMy dear \u2018BUNTON\u2019 you will always be BABY to me even though you are now the big 50!!!!!!!
