While Sheriff Country<\/em><\/a> viewers eagerly await a possible romance story line for Boone and Mickey, Matt Lauria<\/strong> came in clutch with a dream date idea.<\/p>\n

During an exclusive interview about the Sheriff Country<\/em> and Fire Country<\/em> crossover<\/a>, Lauria, 43, was joined by Max Thieriot<\/strong> on set. The duo remained largely tight-lipped about the online interest in Boone (Lauria) and Mickey (Morena Baccarin<\/strong>), but Thieriot, 37, did suggest \u201cstakeouts\u201d as a potential bonding moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe a little sheriff-style date, which is stakeouts and takeouts,\u201d Lauria quipped before dodging a question about who he was rooting for when it came to Boone\u2019s love life, saying, \u201cYou are going to get me in trouble.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sheriff Country<\/em>, which premiered in 2025, centers on Mickey as she investigates criminal activity and patrols the streets of her small town while dealing with her ex-con father and getting caught up in a murder case where her daughter is the prime suspect.<\/p>\n

Based on Jeffery Deaver\u2018s novel The Never Game, Tracker has viewers tuning in each week to see their favorite fictional survivalist \u2014 a.k.a Colter [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Season 1 has explored Mickey\u2019s love life, showing her secret (and casual) romance with undercover DEA agent Alec (Wes Chatham<\/strong>). She then rekindled her connection with ex-husband Travis (Christopher Gorham<\/strong>), but she has other options \u2014 with some viewers rooting for her to find love with partner Boone.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not surprised because they\u2019re such great characters, they are such charming actors and they are quite easy on the eyes. What I\u2019ve enjoyed [though] is not going there \u2014 or at least not going there too quickly,\u201d showrunner Matt Lopez previously told Us. \u201cThey start out the season in a place of great conflict. It\u2019s messy and it\u2019s complicated. What you\u2019re starting to see now is a return to the Mickey and Boone that existed before the series started when they were just partners and there wasn\u2019t the weirdness of she got the top job and he got left behind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re falling into that partnership again, and it\u2019s a really fun place to write to. I know the actors love playing that charm, and so it\u2019s very big sister, little brother. Having said that, could it grow into something more? I think it could,\u201d he continued. \u201cThose relationships have an intimacy to them. Even if it\u2019s not physical, there\u2019s an intimacy that\u2019s almost like a spouse. The door is open for Mickey and Boone.\u201d<\/p>\n
