Peaky Blinders<\/em> fans are headed back to Birmingham with a totally new cast.<\/p>\n

March 2026\u2019s Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man<\/em><\/a> put an end to Tommy Shelby\u2019s (Cillian Murphy<\/strong>) story 13 years after the show debuted on BBC. Tommy\u2019s death came as a shock to viewers but it also allowed for his son Erasmus \u201cDuke\u201d Shelby to lead Birmingham\u2019s most vicious gang going forward.<\/p>\n

While Barry Keoghan<\/strong> took on the role of Duke for the Netflix movie, the actor made it clear that he would not be returning for anything else in the Peaky Blinders universe.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a lot to follow Tommy Shelby. I don\u2019t even want to attempt that,\u201d he told Variety<\/em><\/a> in March 2026. \u201cBut Duke is a different sort of Shelby.\u201d<\/p>\n

Peaky Blinders<\/em> creator Steven Knight<\/strong> hinted that a spinoff was in the works during a February 2025 interview with BBC Breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not over, let\u2019s just put it like that,\u201d he teased. \u201cI\u2019m not allowed to announce it, but I\u2019m just saying that the world of Peaky will continue.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the March 2026 Peaky Blinders<\/em> movie, fans started to speculate that the next iteration of the franchise would follow Duke. BBC confirmed in April 2026<\/a> that the new spinoff would be set in the 1950s \u2014 a decade after The Immortal Man<\/em> film \u2014 and showcase the aftermath of World War II on Birmingham.<\/p>\n
