Noah Schnapp has a new man<\/p>\n
\nThe Stranger Things actor – who came out as gay in January 2023 – has taken to his Instagram account to mark his one-month anniversary with his mystery man, though he didn’t reveal the identity of who he is dating.<\/p>\n
\nNoah shared a photo on his Instagram Story featuring him and his mystery man with their arms around one another and their backs to the camera.<\/p>\n
\nHe captioned the post: “one month of us [heart emoji] (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nNoah previously reflected on how playing Will Byers, who is also gay, in Stranger Things had helped him understand and feel more comfortable with himself.<\/p>\n
\nHe told GQ magazine: \u201cSeeing how the world receives Will, and embraces him, has taught me through the years to feel OK in who I am, and how I express myself…<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut it didn\u2019t just help find my own identity sexually. As a person, it taught me that it\u2019s OK to be me, as everything that I am.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd I think that\u2019s what\u2019s so special about our show, and what\u2019s so special about Will. It doesn\u2019t resonate with queer people, it resonates with all people who feel different.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNoah has felt “not part of the group” and “always that weird kid on the side” for most of his life but playing Will has helped him to embrace the things that set him apart from others.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI\u2019ll carry that with me through my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe 21-year-old actor previously admitted that his family and friends weren’t surprised when he came out.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Variety: \u201cWhen I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was, \u2018We know.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\nNoah came out on TikTok and he felt very emotional when he first read the messages of support he received afterwards.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI didn\u2019t want to sit there waiting nervously to see what people were going to say. I just wanted to put it away and be confident in who I am, and know that I don\u2019t have to care what people think anymore.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen I opened my phone\u2026 it was, like, a thousand texts of hearts and congratulations and rainbow flags.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was crying. I was like, \u2018I made it. I\u2019m done. I don\u2019t have to worry.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
