The singer, 31, who is currently appearing in the role of Zidler in the production at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday (31.03.26) after falling ill shortly after the opening scenes of the show. <\/p>\n
A spokesperson told the Daily Mail she had experienced \u201cconcerning symptoms\u201d and was later diagnosed with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels. <\/p>\n
Megan has now said on Instagram: \u201cLast night was a real wake-up call for me. I\u2019ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cI thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn\u2019t. Hotties I wanna be real with y\u2019all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting y’all down.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMegan said: \u201cI just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cI\u2019ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nA spokesperson for the singer told the Daily Mail: \u201cOn Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThey added: \u201cDoctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe spokesperson said: \u201cMegan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler on Moulin Rouge on Thursday.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMegan began performances in her Moulin Rouge! role on 24 March and is scheduled to continue through May. <\/p>\n
\nThe production is based on the 2001 film directed by Baz Luhrmann, which starred Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.<\/p>\n
\nThe Broadway cast includes Kelsie Watts, Christian Douglas, David Harris and Andre Ward.<\/p>\n
\nMegan previously told USA Today her Broadway debut was something she had long envisioned. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI was like, \u2018Wow. I feel like this is something that my mom would’ve really wanted me to do\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI feel like she manifested this for me. So, I feel really excited to do it, and I’m (going to) put my all into it.\u201d<\/p>\n
