Joe Gorga<\/strong><\/a> was just as shocked about his reconciliation with Teresa Giudice<\/strong><\/a> as The Real Housewives of New Jersey<\/em><\/a> fans were.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, \u2018Is this real? This is my sister.\u2019 I was very confused,\u201d Joe, 51, said during the Tuesday, March 31, episode of the \u201cCasual Chaos\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cTook me a minute. I\u2019m like, \u2018Is this a joke?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Podcast host Gia Giudice<\/strong> joked that her uncle thought he \u201csaw a ghost\u201d after receiving the text message from her mom.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt took me a little minute to make it comprehend and sink in,\u201d he recalled. \u201cI answered her right away. That\u2019s exactly what I wanted, because it\u2019s not me. I always want her in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cBut she pushed me away, and she had to. She had rights. Whatever she was going through in life, and I can\u2019t blame her, because she went through a lot of things in life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe said hearing from Teresa was \u201cthe best moment.\u201d (Teresa reunited with her brother, Joe, and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga<\/strong><\/a> late last year after a years-long feud, which was chronicled on RHONJ<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a great moment to receive that text,\u201d he continued. \u201cWhen we met it was just like, \u2018Listen, I love you. I don\u2019t want to hear nothing. \u2026 I don\u2019t even care. It\u2019s over. Let\u2019s move on.\u2019 And that\u2019s what we have to do. Move on. And that\u2019s it. Not bring up the past. The past is over. It\u2019s done, it\u2019s gone. It\u2019s behind us. But we are older now, we are smarter now. We\u2019re all more mature.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melissa, who was also on Tuesday\u2019s podcast episode, said she was \u201cnervous\u201d to meet up with Teresa initially. Joe felt differently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no anger inside me. I just wanted to make up. I don\u2019t care, it\u2019s over,\u201d he said. \u201cI wasn\u2019t nervous. I was just happy. Let\u2019s all get together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe and Melissa also addressed speculation that they only reconciled with Teresa<\/a> to film RHONJ<\/em> again. (The series was put on hiatus following the season 14 finale in 2024.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not good actors,\u201d Melissa said. Joe added, \u201cHow can you fake this s***?\u201d<\/p>\n

Melissa continued, \u201cWe\u2019re not good at putting on a show, because we all just, like, spit it out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both Joe and Gia agreed that Teresa \u201ccan\u2019t fake it\u201d either.<\/p>\n
