Can you call it a comeback when\u00a0Kesha<\/strong><\/a> has always been a pop music queen? The star has been \u201cRaising Hell\u201d ever since she dropped her album in January 2020, but her High Road<\/em> vibes are a total departure from the style she used to rock when she first broke onto the scene.<\/p>\n In 2009, when the singer dropped her first single, \u201cTik Tok,\u201d she was only 22. Now, over a decade later, Kesha is in her thirties \u2014 and she\u2019s a whole new woman! Though the star is still releasing bangers on the regular, she did take a break from music after dropping her first two albums.<\/p>\n After\u00a0Animal<\/em> came out in 2010, followed by\u00a0Warrior<\/em> in 2012, she began to open up about person struggles she\u2019d been dealing with behind-the-scenes. In an interview with\u00a0Vogue<\/em><\/a>, she was candid about her eating disorder and rehab stay<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI started to think being hungry to the point of feeling almost faint was a positive thing,\u201d Kesha recalled. \u201cThe worse it got, the more positive feedback I was getting. Inside I was really unhappy, but outside, people were like, \u2018Wow, you look great.’\u201d<\/p>\n In 2016, #FreeKesha started trending as the public learned about the singer\u2019s legal battle with Dr. Luke<\/strong><\/a>. Despite her attempt to be released from working with the producer, however, she went on to release Rainbow<\/em> in 2017, putting her back on track to take over the radio waves once again.<\/p>\n By November 2019, she\u2019d even returned to the stage<\/a> at the American Music Awards<\/a>. Both of the songs she performed are about partying and having fun \u2014 but if you listen in, it\u2019s clear Kesha has grown up into an incredible woman.<\/p>\n Her style has also changed<\/a> over the years. Though she still loves some good glitter glam, she\u2019s also taken to showing off her freckled face<\/a> every now and then in makeup-free selfies. \u201cThis year, my resolution is to love myself \u2026 just as I am, all f\u2013ked up and imperfect and whatever else.
