Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong><\/a> left a flirty comment for The Bachelorette<\/em><\/a> season 22 contestant Doug Mason<\/strong> following ABC\u2019s decision to shelve the show.<\/p>\n

Doug, 28, shared a clip of a new song via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, March 30, where he crooned to his \u201cbaby girl\u201d over multiple shots of a duck walking around a parking lot.<\/p>\n

After Taylor replied, \u201cAwe I see what you did here \ud83e\udd86,\u201d in the comments section, some eagle-eyed fans began to contemplate if there was a hidden inside joke between the two.<\/p>\n

Her Bachelorette<\/em> costar kept the mystery alive by responding to Taylor with a \u201chands over ears\u201d emoji and an \u201cI don\u2019t know\u201d emoji.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDespite Taylor Frankie Paul\u2019s season of The Bachelorette being canceled, she has needed to carry on as usual. \u201c[I\u2019m] always on [my phone],\u201d Taylor, 31, wrote via Instagram comment on Friday, March 20, after a fan questioned why the reality TV star was posting on social media amid the Bachelor Nation scandal. \u201cIt\u2019s my job, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

ABC shelved The Bachelorette<\/em> earlier this month after the release of a shocking video from Taylor\u2019s 2023 domestic violence arrest and news that she and ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen<\/strong> were under investigation over separate allegations<\/a> from February. (Since that time, a third violence investigation based on an alleged 2024 incident has been opened against Taylor by Utah\u2019s West Jordan Police Department.)<\/p>\n

Doug previously publicly supported Taylor in the wake of the controversy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked,\u201d Doug wrote via Instagram on March 20. \u201cAll we can do right now is just be hopeful, and I am headed off to run to watch the sunrise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doug went on, \u201cI hope you guys have a great day, and let\u2019s stay positive and show nothing but support for people in need.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> fan later shared Doug\u2019s supportive post, with Taylor commenting, \u201cAw my heart goes out to him. So sweet.\u201d<\/p>\n

When fans later called for Doug to get his own Bachelor<\/em> season<\/a> in the future, he seemed open to the idea, writing, \u201cLet\u2019s goooo.\u201d<\/p>\n

While The Bachelorette<\/em> season 22 will seemingly remain on the cutting room floor for now, Rachel Recchia<\/strong> and Charity Lawson<\/strong> will soon give fans a chance to get to know the would-be contestants by interviewing them on the official \u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cBachelor Happy Hour\u2019 will be the only place that you are gonna hear directly from the men of Taylor\u2019s cast,\u201d Charity, 30, announced on Friday, March 27.<\/p>\n

As for the future of The Bachelorette<\/em>, Us Weekly<\/em> learned<\/a> on Tuesday, March 24, that ABC has no plans at this stage to bring in another Bachelorette as a replacement for Taylor. There is no word yet on whether one of Taylor\u2019s suitors will become the next Bachelor, though producers reportedly had their eye on contenders before season 22 was canceled.<\/p>\n
