25 years ago, three kids sat in front of a room full of cameras and journalists with no idea they were about to become some of the most famous people on the planet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n One said she\u2019d put her money in a bank. Another didn\u2019t understand \u201cmuggle money.\u201d The third barely made eye contact.<\/span><\/p>\n A clip from that moment is now going viral, and it\u2019s the kind of time capsule that hits different when you know what came next.<\/span><\/p>\n The date was Aug. 23, 2000. <\/span>Daniel Radcliffe<\/b> and <\/span>Rupert Grint<\/b> were just 11 years old. <\/span>Emma Watson<\/b> was just 10.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It was at this London event that the trio were officially introduced to the world as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley \u2014 more than a year before <\/span>Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone<\/span><\/i> hit theaters on Nov. 16, 2001.<\/span><\/p>\n During the documentary <\/span>Creating the World of Harry Potter<\/span><\/i><\/a>,<\/span><\/i> Radcliffe confirmed it was the first time the trio had properly met.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Watson recalled being \u201cterrified\u201d and \u201cso nervous\u201d that she thought she would be sick as she walked into the room. Radcliffe described Grint as the \u201creally chatty one\u201d in those days, while describing himself as \u201cvery quiet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n At one point during the <\/span>press conference<\/span><\/a>, the trio were asked what they would spend their first paycheck on. Their answers were priceless, especially when looking back at it 25 years later.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m afraid I\u2019m really going to bore you all,\u201d Watson said, \u201cbut I\u2019m going to stick it in a bank until I\u2019m 21.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n When asked if he would be a \u201csaver,\u201d Radcliffe \u2014 who was struggling to make eye contact with the press \u2014 said, \u201cprobably.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cUm, I\u2026 No, I don\u2019t have any idea,\u201d Radcliffe added.<\/span><\/p>\n Then Grint delivered the most <\/span>Harry Potter<\/span><\/i>-esque answer of the three.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWell, speaking as a Wizard, uhm, we\u2019re going to get paid muggle money and I don\u2019t really understand it,\u201d he said into the mic.<\/span><\/p>\n Radcliffe was also asked if he bore any resemblance to his Harry Potter character.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019m a tiny, tiny bit like Harry\u2026 because\u2026 I\u2019d like to have an owl,\u201d he said before someone else joked that \u201che can\u2019t fly on a broomstick yet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Grint saw a lot of resemblance between himself and his character.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think I\u2019m a scary bit like my character,\u201d Grint said. \u201cI live in a family of seven, I\u2019ve got a red-headed sister and I live in a burrow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Radcliffe has been open about his wealth since becoming an adult. He reportedly <\/span>made around $96 million<\/span><\/a> from the <\/span>Harry Potter<\/span><\/i> franchise, but says he barely touches it.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t really do anything with my money,\u201d he told <\/span>The Telegraph<\/span><\/i><\/a> in 2016. \u201cI\u2019m very grateful for it, because having money means you don\u2019t have to worry about it, which is very lovely freedom to have.
