Treat Williams<\/a>\u2019 family and friends honored the late actor\u2019s memory<\/a> during an intimate funeral on Monday, June 19, Us Weekly<\/em> confirms.<\/p>\n The service was held in Vermont, which is where the Everwood<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>alum and his wife, Pam Van Sant<\/strong><\/a>, resided.\u00a0<\/b>The couple, who were married for 35 years<\/a>, shared son Gill Williams,<\/strong> 31, and daughter Elinor \u201cEllie\u201d Williams<\/strong>, 25.<\/p>\n Us Weekly\u00a0<\/i>confirmed one week earlier that Treat \u2014 who was also known for his work on Hallmark Channel<\/a> and as the star of 1969\u2019s Hair <\/i>\u2014\u00a0<\/b>had died after his involvement in a fatal motorcycle accident<\/a>. He was 71.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off,\u201d the actor\u2019s rep,\u00a0Barry\u00a0McPherson<\/strong>,\u00a0told\u00a0Us<\/i>\u00a0in a statement on June 13<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.\u201d<\/p>\n McPherson continued: \u201cHe was an actor\u2019s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He\u2019s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really proud of his performance this year. He\u2019s been so happy with the work that I got him. He\u2019s had a balanced career.\u201d<\/p>\n Treat\u2019s daughter, for her part, paid tribute to her dad in an emotional post following his death.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a pain I have never felt. I am absolutely shattered,\u201d Ellie wrote via her Instagram Story<\/a> several hours after her dad\u2019s passing, sharing a throwback photo of the Hair <\/i>star\u00a0and a second snap of a jacket with his name embroidered on it. \u201cThank you to everyone who has sent messages and kept our family in your hearts<\/a> during this terrible heartbreak.\u201d<\/p>\n Treat\u2019s funeral was held in Vermont, which was long been his favorite place to spend time.<\/p>\n \u201cAt this point in my life if I\u2019m going to go leave the house in Vermont, which I absolutely adore, it really has to be, \u2018Oh, boy,\u00a0I can\u2019t wait to get on the airplane to do this with these guys,\u2019 he previously told\u00a0Parade<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>in August 2018.<\/p>\n Treat had first started visiting the New England state when he was growing up and his love for the countryside only continued to develop<\/a> through the years.<\/p>\n \u201cI bought the house that we\u2019re in 35 years ago. I\u2019ve always had an enormous love for Vermont, both in winter and summer,\u201d the actor told\u00a0Vermont<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>magazine in 2021. \u201cThere was something incredibly special about it to me, and the people here are incredibly honest, real, and good-humored.
