Eve Plumb<\/strong> is offering surprising insight into what took place behind the scenes on the Brady Bunch<\/em> set after past claims of cast hookups.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWe knew there was tension,\u201d Plumb, 67, told Woman\u2019s World<\/em><\/a> while reflecting on the dynamic between her onscreen father, Robert Reed<\/strong>, and the show\u2019s creator, Sherwood Schwartz<\/strong>. \u201cYou\u2019d hear the door slam, and then we\u2019d go on and do something else. It\u2019s like it is in any family \u2014 when there\u2019s discord, you figure out a way to get through it.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress, who played Jan, still felt a strong sense of community<\/a>, particularly during mother-daughter scenes with Florence Henderson<\/strong>. As for Reed, Plumb referred to him as a \u201cvery kind and thoughtful and talented\u201d person.<\/p>\n \u201cI get flashes of remembering standing next to Florence on the set under the hot lights,\u201d she said. \u201cThere was just this feeling of safety and of respect. You looked to them as an adult, as far as direction goes about what\u2019s going on in the world, because you\u2019re a child and they have to tell you what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n The Brady Bunch,<\/em> which aired from 1969 to 1974, revolved around a large blended family of six children: three boys and three girls. Plumb\u2019s memory of her time on set was quite different from her onscreen brother Barry Williams<\/strong><\/a>, who previously told Us Weekly<\/em> about the cast\u2019s dating lives.<\/p>\n \u201cWe all hooked up with each other at some point,\u201d Williams, 71, who played Grey, told Us<\/em> in September 2024. \u201cNot necessarily while we were filming.\u201d<\/p>\n Williams reflected on the hookups, adding, \u201cI dated Maureen [McCormick], and Chris [Knight] dated Eve and Michael [Lookinland] and Susan [Olsen] had a little mock wedding at one point. So, yes, we all hooked up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
