And I want to be with my family,\u201d said Guthrie about her colleagues. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd so I don\u2019t know if I can do it. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll belong anymore, but I would like to try. I would like to try\u2026 I\u2019m not going to be the same. But maybe it\u2019s like that old poem: \u2018More beautiful in the broken places.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news comes on the heels of a <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/22\/entertainment\/savannah-guthrie-could-return-to-today-show-next-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Page Six<\/em> report<\/a> claiming that Savannah would return to <em>The Today Show<\/em> after her children\u2019s spring break ended.<\/p>\n<p>In New York, most schools will be back to business by April 10th, so that gives us an approximate time frame.<\/p>\n<p>For now, she\u2019s said to be spending time with 11-year-old Vale and 9-year-old Charley. Something could change at any moment.<\/p>\n<p>One additional factor is probably a non-issue, but Hoda Kotb \u2014 who has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/02\/hoda-kotb-today-savannah-guthrie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">filling in for Savannah<\/a> \u2014 does have some events coming up, unrelated to <em>Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the report makes it clear that Hoda isn\u2019t pushing Savannah to return prematurely.<\/p>\n<p>This is <em>The Today Show<\/em>, folks. That depends upon the job, of course.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, working is how we cope with a crisis \u2014 taking our mind off of the horrors.<\/p>\n<p>(This does not apply to all jobs, particularly someone like Savannah, whose plight is known by the entire world.)<\/p>\n<p>At any moment, there could be a break in the case that might call her back to her mother\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>We hate to say it, but the most <em>likely <\/em>\u201cbreak\u201d would mean that Savannah is planning a funeral or similar memorial. Only time will tell if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/03\/nancy-guthrie-sheriff-chris-nanos-recall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investigators<\/a> made mistakes that allowed the criminal to get away.<\/p>\n<p>But, for now, we hope that Savannah and her family are coping with the horrors as well as they can.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Today Show<\/em>\u2018s audience will be overjoyed to see her return.
