Channing Tatum<\/a>‘s romance novel will be filled with “lots and lots of sex”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Channing Tatum is releasing his first romance novel in 2027<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old actor is teaming up with Bad Feminist author Roxane Gay on the project, and she has revealed the “most ridiculous way” their partnership got started, while giving a hint about the book’s spicy content.<\/p>\n
Appearing on Dua Lipa’s Service95 podcast, Roxane recalled: \u201cA journalist asked him if he knew that there was this writer who had a crush on him and wrote a book called Bad Feminist.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd he was like, \u2018Oh, I haven’t heard of it, but I’ll look into it.\u2019 And then he did.<\/p>\n
“And then someone approached him about doing a book project, and he was like, \u2018Yes, I would love to, if I can co-write it with this person.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
\nRoxane revealed that the book will drop “hopefully next year”, and it’s packed with “lots of sex”.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “It\u2019s very sexy. Lots and lots of sex.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe new project was first announced in 2023 as the duo are taking their time to make sure they do the book justice.<\/p>\n
\nLast year, Roxane explained that the plot is “actually grounded in reality”, and features plenty of romps in a bakery.<\/p>\n
\nShe told The Late Show with Stephen Colbert: “You know how so many people make these little pacts?<\/p>\n
\n“Like, \u2018If we both turn 40 and we\u2019re still single let\u2019s get married.\u2019 So they actually get married and then they fall in love afterwards…<\/p>\n
\n\u201cA voluntary arranged marriage. With lots and lots of sex in a bakery.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nChanning has some writing experience, having penned the Sparkella series inspired by his daughter Everly, 12, who he has with ex Jenna Dewan.<\/p>\n
\nBack when their upcoming spicy novel was first announced, Roxane admitted she was impressed by Channing’s attitude.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Vanity Fair: “For whatever reason, he is intimately aware of his privilege. He doesn\u2019t apologize for it, which is, frankly, refreshing.<\/p>\n
\n“Like, you\u2019re an absurdly attractive famous wealthy white man. Please don\u2019t pretend that isn\u2019t great. But he treats people well.”<\/p>\n
\nShe was also pleased the Magic Mike actor did “the right thing” by making sure they would both be equally paid for the novel.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “We shouldn\u2019t give medals to people for doing the right thing, but at the same time, most people simply don\u2019t do the right thing and it is notable when it happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
