Uma Thurman<\/a> doesn’t “see the point” of being “nervous” about AI and thinks there are “great positives” to the technology.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Uma Thurman isn’t worried about AI<\/p>\n
The 55-year-old actress admitted she has been a “super-slow” adopter of artificial intelligence and while many in the movie industry have expressed their concerns about its impact, she believes human connection will always be more powerful.<\/p>\n
She told America’s InStyle magazine: “I’m sure there are going to be great positives, and I’m sure there’s going to be great cost, which is the case with most things.<\/p>\n
“I don’t see the point in getting nervous. The whole idea of a ‘new normal’ is scheduled heartbreak.<\/p>\n
“Our challenge is to be fluid and dextrous and open-minded and positive.<\/p>\n
\n ‘What else are we doing on this planet?”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Uma – who has Maya, 27, and Levon, 24, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke and Luna, 13, with former partner Arpad Busson – admitted she thinks she missed out by never living in Los Angeles full time, raising her family in New York instead,.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I actually always wished I had moved to Los Angeles. I even got an apartment there at one point because I was working there really frequently, and as soon as I signed the lease, I got pregnant with my daughter within, like, six weeks.<\/p>\n
\n“I never did time in Los Angeles, and because of that, I kind of never integrated into the community of my own profession, and I think that’s too bad.<\/p>\n
\n“I had more of a community with the other mothers at pick-up on 16th Street and Rutherford Place, and that’s okay. But I wish I’d had that chapter. I think I really would have liked it.” <\/p>\n
\nThe Kill Bill actress’ youngest daughter is preparing to start high school, and Uma acknowledged the move will mean a shift in her own daily life, which she is looking forward to.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I will have a different time structure in my life that is quite exciting to imagine.<\/p>\n
\n“It’s already very different to have one child [at home] versus three children in different schools. I am finding I have a lot of oxygen for more that is outside this house.”<\/p>\n
