Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>, 76, former music manager Sharon, 73, spoke out during an appearance at Elton John\u2019s Oscars party, where she was asked about Kelly\u2019s response to online body shaming. <\/p>\nA reporter asked Sharon: \u201cAre you so proud of Kelly for standing up for herself against the bullies?\u201d <\/p>\n
Sharon said: \u201cSure. Listen, people that give it out have to get it back… .\u201d<\/p>\n
Kelly has addressed repeated comments about her body in recent months, after appearing publicly following Ozzy\u2019s death in July last year, two weeks after his farewell concert with Black Sabbath. <\/p>\n
\nKelly and Sharon attended the 2026 Brit Awards, where Kelly collected a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of Ozzy. <\/p>\n
\nDuring the same period, Kelly was subjected to negative commentary online about her appearance. <\/p>\n
\nThe comments came as Kelly appeared at several public events while grieving her father.<\/p>\n
\nKelly later addressed the criticism directly after the Brit Awards, responding to comments about her appearance. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cThere is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cKicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cNone of it proves strength, it only reveals a profound absence of character. I’m currently going through the hardest time of my life. I should not even have to defend myself.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMia Tyler, the daughter of singer Steven Tyler, also shared a statement supporting Kelly, which Kelly reposted. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cPublic grief is not public property. Grief can change a person. That doesn’t make their body a topic for debate.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBefore you comment on someone’s body, consider the possibility that they’re carrying something heavier than your opinion.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt takes real strength to stand in the public eye accepting accolades for their late iconic father and hold themselves together in front of the world.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThe least we can do is show the same grace in return. Kindness costs nothing. Cruelty costs character.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt’s unsettling how quickly people will dissect someone’s appearance instead of honouring their courage.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you have the kind of energy to comment, you have the energy to be kind. Choose accordingly.\u201d<\/p>\n
