Cast announcements for the fourth season of The White Lotus<\/em>,<\/a> set at Saint-Tropez’s<\/a> Ch\u00e2teau de la Messardi\u00e8re, are now underway. Fans of the show were thrilled to learn that Sandra Bernhard,<\/a> Helena Bonham Carter,<\/a> Steve Coogan,<\/a> and Vincent Cassel<\/a> would be checking in for the series’ latest chapter.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, Deadline<\/em> announced a number of new names, including Pakistani-American actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani<\/a>, singer and actress from the Marvel universe Chloe Bennet<\/a>, and Charlie Hall.<\/p>\n Hall, the son of Julia Louis-Dreyfus<\/a> and Brad Hall, joins a long list of White Lotus<\/em> \u201cnepo babies,” including Patrick Schwarzenegger,<\/a> Sam Nivola<\/a> (son of Emily Mortime<\/a>r and Alessandro Nivola<\/a>) and Charlotte Le Bon<\/a> (daughter of Brigitte Paquette). The 28-year-old actor’s parents met on the set of Saturday Night Live, where they were both cast members.<\/p>\n Hall, who attended Northwestern University and played on the basketball team, made his on-screen debut in 2019 with a small role in his mother’s sitcom Veep,<\/em> and has gone on to act in the series The Sex Lives of College Girls<\/em>,<\/a> as well as Love, Victor<\/em>, Single Drunk Female<\/em> and the reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.<\/em><\/p>\n But his new role on The White Lotus is sure to be his largest yet, bringing with it the usual debate over the merit of casting \u201cchildren of”: do connections to famous families get weighed over the quality of the actors’ talent?<\/p>\n Schwarzenegger proved his chops on the last season of The White Lotus, where he played Saxon Ratliff. Last year, he responded to criticism in The<\/em> Sunday Times, s<\/em>aying it’s \u201cfrustrating\u201d when people put him in a box, adding \u201cThey\u2019re not seeing that I\u2019ve had 10 years of acting classes, put on [high] school plays every week, worked on my characters for hours on end or the hundreds of rejected auditions. Dave Bernard<\/strong>, the show’s producer, told the Hollywood Reporter<\/em> that Shwarzenegger’s last name had actually \u201cworked against him,\u201d saying \u201dWe didn\u2019t want to cast him because of that.
