If you\u2019re driving in Los Angeles these days, there\u2019s a good chance you\u2019ll see the back of Paul Anthony Kelly\u2019s head. In this town, billboards for Love Story<\/em>, FX\u2019s hit series<\/a> chronicling the romance of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette<\/a>\u2014starring Kelly as America\u2019s first son\u2014tower on seemingly every corner. \u201cThey\u2019re everywhere,\u201d Kelly says. \u201cIt feels amazing. It\u2019s proof that we did it. We made it.\u201d<\/p>\n

And after you\u2019ve made it in Hollywood, there\u2019s only one place to go: the annual Vanity Fair<\/em> Oscar Party<\/a>. While getting ready for the event at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Oscar Sunday, Kelly tells me that he\u2019s a little overwhelmed to attend for the first time. \u201cBut I\u2019m ready,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019m ready to just go hang out with everybody and say what\u2019s up and congratulate people.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is one problem with his plan, though: Kelly, who\u2019s been doing a nonstop press blitz since before his show debuted, recently lost his voice. At a time when he has to rely on being seen more than being heard, what he\u2019s wearing is of utmost importance. And luckily, he\u2019s being dressed for the VF<\/em> party by famed menswear designer Brunello Cucinelli.<\/p>\n

Rather than going with a classic black penguin suit, Kelly and his team, which consists of stylist Warren Alfie Baker and his groomer Jessica Ortiz, put a fun twist on the archetype by sporting a chestnut brown dinner jacket. \u201cIt\u2019s a shawl one and a half-breasted tux that\u2019s this kind of light-brown blushy tone,\u201d he gently croaks to me. Along with the \u201cMarron glac\u00e9\u201d jacket, Kelly will also be sporting a Vacheron Constantin American 1921 watch, \u201ca beautiful, beautiful piece of horology.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
