\nThe passage suggests part of the pressure stemmed from the event taking place in Gaga\u2019s childhood neighbourhood, which the book says contained landmarks connected to her early life, including the Catholic school she attended.<\/p>\n
\nIn the novel\u2019s account of the evening, Oprah Winfrey, who co-chaired the Met Gala in 2010, remains calm during the moment described in the book. <\/p>\n
\nThe scene also includes a character portrayed as closely resembling Vogue editor Anna Wintour. <\/p>\n
\nAccording to the description, once Gaga eventually took to the stage, the performance itself went smoothly.<\/p>\n
\nFilipa writes Gaga delivered a \u201cbrilliant, perfectly remembered\u201d performance.<\/p>\n

\nThe passage describes how certain performers are treated as essential presences during the evening.<\/p>\n
\nFilipa writes: \u201cBeyonc\u00e9 wasn\u2019t a guest. She was framework\u2014planned around the way cities plan around bridges.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe adds: \u201cMadonna functioned the same way, less predictable but equally immovable.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFilipa continues: \u201cRihanna wasn\u2019t invited. She was accounted for like weather \u2013\u00a0altering the atmosphere the moment she entered the equation.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFilipa also writes: \u201cJennifer Lopez operated as both spectacle and signal, her presence reassuring sponsors and designers alike.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe adds: \u201cLady Gaga required contingency planning, not because she was unreliable but because she was unpredictable by design.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFilipa concludes the passage by writing: \u201cThese women didn\u2019t simply attend the Crown Ball \u2013\u00a0they recalibrated it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nA representative for Lady Gaga and Filipa did not comment on the account when asked about it by Page Six. <\/p>\n
\nA spokesperson for Vogue responded to the book\u2019s release by saying: \u201cWe look forward to reading it \u2013\u00a0fiction is always fun!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe self-published novel Best Dressed is scheduled to be released in May.<\/p>\n
