\t\t<\/p>\n Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/strong><\/a> is revealing more insight as to why the planned Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/strong><\/a><\/em> reboot might have been axed.<\/p>\n Over the weekend, the 48-year-old actress shared a video message with fans<\/a> to announce that the show would not be moving forward past the pilot at Hulu. <\/p>\n She says the call came ahead of an important time for both her and director Chlo\u00e9 Zhao<\/strong>, with Sarah<\/strong> premiering her new movie Ready or Not 2<\/em> and Chlo\u00e9<\/strong> prepping for the Oscars where she was nominated for Hamnet<\/em>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor them to call us on the Friday of what should have been Chlo\u00e9<\/strong>\u2018s victory lap for an incredible film, and my world premiere of something that I worked very hard for is\u2026 That says something,\u201d Sarah<\/strong> told People<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n She also divulged that it was one particular executive that might have killed the show.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had an executive on our show who was not only not a fan of the original, but was proud to constantly remind us that he had never seen the entirety of the series and how it wasn\u2019t for him,\u201d said the I Know What You Did Last Summer<\/em> alum.<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cThat\u2019s very hard when you\u2019re taking a property that is as beloved as Buffy<\/em>, not just to the world, but to me and Chlo\u00e9<\/strong>.
