I made four. I have more to say.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was always in love with him,\u201d Fonda continued, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most gorgeous human being and such great values and he did a lot for movies. He really changed movies, lifted up independent movies.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"98th Oscars In Memoriam, Pt. 2\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sH-qkd35aRM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI miss him now more than ever, even how he loved teasing me. He\u2019d call me, \u2018Babs.\u2019 And I\u2019d say, \u2018Bob, you know, do I look like a Babs?\u2019 But the way he said it made me laugh,\u201d Streisand said on stage at the Oscars, adding:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany years later, we were chatting on the phone about the usual, politics, art, [Amedeo] Modigliani\u2014our favorite. And as we were hanging up, he said, \u2018Babs, I love you dearly, and I always will.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Needless to say, it was a moving tribute. I can\u2019t stop crying. He meant a lot to me and was a beautiful person in every way,\u201d she wrote at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Fonda concluded her tribute by acknowledging the political contributions of her fellow activist:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe stood for an America we have to keep fighting for,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>We may never know why Jane Fonda was not invited to pay tribute to her dear friend.
