Katy Perry has been telling her fans to ‘be kind’ in spite of hate<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old pop star dealt with any haters on her X account by spreading a message of kindness. <\/p>\n
She penned on March 13: “i love you. be kind. always take the high road if you can my kc\u2019s. it\u2019s much lighter here. so excited to share my joy and light with you this summer. i already miss you. x (sic)”<\/p>\n
One user replied: “can you at least drag ur haters for once. love light doesn\u2019t always work girl (sic)”<\/p>\n
To which Katy responded: “they must already be in a lot of pain to be so unkind. i send them love and hope they can find their peace. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nAnother user had commented underneath Katy’s original post: “The internet can be chaotic, but messages like this make it feel a little brighter.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd the I Kissed A Girl hitmaker wrote back: “and that\u2019s why we stay in community in the real world so we can remind ourselves through irl moments that people are good. Go hang out with your friends (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nTwo days before the post, on March 11, Katy was called out for her response to a fan who said she had to sell her ticket to her show because she was struggling financially. <\/p>\n
\nThey wrote: “I so badly don\u2019t wanna be here anymore. I\u2019m not cut out for this world like I cannot afford to live at this rate and I\u2019m so close to selling my Katy ticket.” <\/p>\n
\nKaty wrote back: “But I am looking forward to seeing you.”<\/p>\n
\nHer response didn’t go down well with several users, who branded her “tone-deaf”.<\/p>\n
\nOne wrote: “Wow Katy, you\u2019re clearly so out of touch! You just keep living your out-of-touch high life while everyone else is barely able to afford essentials (food, rent, insurance).”<\/p>\n
\nHowever, some of her KatyCats shot straight to her defence.<\/p>\n
\nOne wrote: “you’d be calling her performative the second she helped publicly. you’re just looking for a reason to be mad (sic)”<\/p>\n
