\u201cI was very insecure with my body for a long time,\u201d the model told InStyle<\/em><\/a> in 2019, relating her personal journey with self-confidence<\/a> to that of her Euphoria<\/em> character, whose own struggles with body image were documented on the show. \u201cI was absorbing all this media bullshit that basically told me I have to change, and that every woman has to adhere to a certain beauty standard.\u201d<\/p>\nIn 2020, Ferreira shared that she still struggles with body image.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m the hottest girl in the world!\u2019 And sometimes I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m the ugliest girl in the world!\u2019 That doesn\u2019t come from logic, and I essentially look the same in both scenarios, but it\u2019s just my feeling,\u201d she told the Los Angeles Times<\/em>. \u201cSometimes I love talking about it, and sometimes I don\u2019t. Sometimes I\u2019m fed up that I have to even acknowledge my body. People don\u2019t ask thin people: \u2018How do you have the confidence to go outside?
