Barack Obama<\/a> recently declared aliens are “real”.<\/p>\nSpeaking during The Big Picture with Steven Spielberg Live conversation at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, on Friday (13.03.26), he said: \u201cI don\u2019t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now \u2014 and I made a movie about that.”<\/p>\n
Of Obama’s recent comments, he admitted his first thought was: \u201cOh, my God, this is so great for Disclosure Day!\u201d<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cAnd two days later, he stepped it back to to say what he believed was in life in the cosmos \u2014 which, of course, everybody should believe in.<\/p>\n
\n“Because no one should ever think that we are the only intelligent civilization in the entire universe. So I\u2019ve been thinking as a kid that we were not alone. So that just goes without saying. The big question is: Are we alone now? And have we been alone over the last 80 years? Have we been alone over the last few thousand years?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Close Encounters of the Third Kind filmmaker would love to meet an alien one day.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI made a movie called Close Encounters of the Third Kind \u2014 I haven\u2019t even had a close encounter or the first or second kind! Why haven\u2019t I seen anything? Half of my friends have seen UFOS or UAPs. Where\u2019s the justice of that? If you\u2019re listening out there \u2026<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m not afraid of any aliens. I have no fears about that whatsoever. <\/p>\n
\n“I think our movie does take into consideration that social dislocation that could occur. If it was announced there is interaction [with aliens] that have been going on for decades, it\u2019s going to cause a disruption in a lot of belief systems. But I don\u2019t think it is a lethal disruption at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nObama – who served two terms as president between 2009 and 2017 – caused a stir last month when he insisted aliens are real and the first question he asked following his election victory was related to beings from outer space.<\/p>\n
\nDuring appearance on the No Lie With Brian Tyler Cohen podcast, Obama said: “They\u2019re real. But I haven\u2019t seen them. They\u2019re not being kept at … Area 51. There\u2019s no underground facility – unless there\u2019s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the President of the United States.”<\/p>\n
\nCohen then asked the former politician: “What was the first question you wanted answered when you became president?” and Obama replied: “Where are the aliens?”<\/p>\n
\nAfter the interview was published, Obama shared a clip showing him talking about aliens on his Instagram page and made an attempt to clarify his answers.<\/p>\n
\nObama wrote: “I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it\u2019s gotten attention let me clarify. <\/p>\n
\n“Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there\u2019s life out there. But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we\u2019ve been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us. Really!”<\/p>\n
\nObama was touching on long-running conspiracy theories which suggest the US government has been aware of alien life for decades and evidence has been stored at the Area 51 military base in Nevada.<\/p>\n
