Donald Trump<\/a>, 79, looked on, America\u2019s first lady, 55, delivered the remarks during a Women\u2019s History Month gathering at the White House. <\/p>\nDuring the event she highlighted several of her professional roles and projects, including the documentary film Melania, which chronicles the 20 days leading up to Donald\u2019s second presidential inauguration. <\/p>\n
Her film premiered in cinemas on 30 January and Melania said she had played a central role in the project\u2019s production, including shaping its creative direction, acting as a producer, overseeing post-production and managing its marketing campaign.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, Melania reflected on the work behind her career and the process she said had led to her achievements. <\/p>\n
\nShe said said: \u201cAs a visionary, I know success is not born overnight, but rather takes shape after a long and sometimes challenging process.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMelania added: \u201cOften alone at the top, I follow my passion, listen to my instinct, and always maintain a laser focus.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIn solitude, my creative mind dances, filling my imagination with originality.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAttention to detail, demanding schedules, and multi-tasking are everyday realities when building towards success.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThat principle resonates across all my roles, as a mother, humanitarian, philanthropist and entrepreneur as well as with my new film where I shaped its creative direction, served as a producer, managed post production and activated the marketing campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe documentary Melania has received mixed reactions since its release. <\/p>\n
\nAccording to the film review website Rotten Tomatoes, the documentary held an 11 percent approval rating among critics as of Friday, 13 March, rising slightly from an earlier rating of 8 percent.<\/p>\n
\nAudience responses on Rotten Tomatoes have differed sharply from critics\u2019 reviews. <\/p>\n
\nThe film has received positive ratings from 98 percent of verified audience users on the site. <\/p>\n
\nWhen unverified audience ratings are included, the approval score falls to 32 percent. <\/p>\n
\nA spokesperson for Rotten Tomatoes previously told People the gap between critics and audiences marked the largest such split recorded on the review platform.<\/p>\n
\nDuring the White House event, Melania also spoke about the role curiosity plays in her work and outlook. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cCuriosity is a core value that keeps me ahead of the curve.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMelania added she believed that \u201ccuriosity begets knowledge\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nBefore handing the podium to Donald, Melania addressed women attending the event and those watching the remarks.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cTo all of the young women, entrepreneurs and future leaders: Make time for yourself, educate yourself daily and spread your passion.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBe courageous and take risks, advance your profession through inspiration, be a bold chief executive while keeping your family, if you choose so, at the center of your nation’s future.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAfter Melania concluded her speech, Donald addressed the audience and praised his wife\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n
\nDonald said: \u201cShe\u2019s terrific and a big success\u2026 I don\u2019t know, maybe she\u2019s getting a little too big for the White House so I have to think about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDonald later addressed women more broadly during his remarks.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cWe love women. Women are the whole deal, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n
