The 36-year-old actress – who played Bonnie Bennett in the CW supernatural teen drama – and her husband, actor Bryant Wood, have welcomed baby boy Prospero ‘Spero’ Nyemah Wood into the world.<\/p>\n
In a joint Instagram post on Thursday (12.03.26), the couple shared adorable shots of them bonding with the little one, with the caption: “Welcome to the world Prospero \u201cSpero\u201d Nyemah Wood.”<\/p>\n
Kat and Bryant did not reveal an exact birth date for their son.<\/p>\n
The pair were showered with congratulatory messages in the post’s comments section.<\/p>\n
\nHer 57-year-old Vampire Diaries co-star Alice Evans (Esther Mikaelson) penned: “Woo Hoo! Huge congrats Momma Kat! What a beautiful family of three you now have! hugs and love, Alice xxx (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nA supporter typed: “Beyond precious. The best part of life is this right here. Love this so much! Congratulations!! Beautiful family! (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nAnd a second user gushed: “Sooo beautiful! I\u2019m in love with him. (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nResponding to the well-wishes, Kat commented: “Thank you all for the beautiful messages. We feel all the love. He\u2019s got a world of family in all of you.”<\/p>\n
\nThe star and Bryant, 32, announced they were set to become parents for the first time with an Instagram post on December 1.<\/p>\n
\nThe upload featured a series of black-and-white Polaroid photos of Bryant embracing Kat as she showed off her blossoming baby bump.<\/p>\n
\nThey captioned it: “We\u2019re having a baby!!! (sic)”<\/p>\n
\nAnd Bryant added in the post’s comments section: “We are ready!”<\/p>\n
\nIn October 2023, the couple got married in a private legal ceremony in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
\nTwo years later, in August 2025, they said “I do again”, but this time in front of 120 guests at the lavish Chalet Tournesol, a private estate in Mountain Centre, California.<\/p>\n
\nIn October that year, Kat told People: “We really wanted to have a second wedding because, technically, it was our first real wedding. <\/p>\n
\n“When we initially eloped, it was incredibly private – we had someone come to the house and marry us with only our dogs as witnesses.<\/p>\n
\n“It was intimate and romantic in its own way, but this time we wanted to celebrate our love surrounded by our family and friends.”<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “[We envisioned] a gathering with the people we love most – those who have truly witnessed our commitment and dedication to our marriage and the family we\u2019re building.”<\/p>\n
\nBryant added: “The next most important thing for me was the gamification and fun – the playfulness and joy.”<\/p>\n
