He, at the time, was a grown man in his (early) 20s.<\/p>\n
On the Thursday, March 12 episode of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>, viewers saw their marriage come to a screeching halt.<\/p>\n\u201cWe both agreed to do a separation,\u201d Mikayla told the camera on Season 4, Episode 9 of the Hulu series.<\/p>\n
This season, her childhood trauma \u2014 including being a survivor of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) \u2014 was a recurring hot topic.<\/p>\n

Mikayla just gave birth to their fourth child last year.<\/p>\n
She also suffers from a chronic illness that is also something of a medical mystery.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s definitely discouraging and frustrating,\u201d Mikayla expressed, \u201cand it kind of holds me back in other places in my life, like my marriage with Jace.\u201d<\/p>\n
The couple entered couples therapy during Season 3. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m working on so many different things outside of just sex,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I know that obviously he can\u2019t just be like, \u2018OK, well we can go without that,’\u201d Mikayla acknowledged.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cWe both get to a point where we feel really helpless about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
As viewers saw, Mikayla and Jace agreed that she doesn\u2019t currently \u201chave the motivation\u201d to tackle the intimacy angle.<\/p>\n
