Jeremy<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Jill and her husband, Derick, appeared as guests.<\/p>\n<p>They were there to discuss a heavy topic: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2025\/03\/jill-duggar-stillbirth-1-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jill\u2019s 2024 stillbirth<\/a> and their grief surrounding it.<\/p>\n<p>Though their would-be daughter died before her March 19 birth, they named her Isla Marie.<\/p>\n<p>Some Duggar watchers did not truly understand why Jill and Derick opted to hold a funeral for a child they never met.<\/p>\n<p>But Jill was very direct in offering her explanation.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jill &amp; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe planned a funeral because that was something that we really wanted,\u201d Jill affirmed. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think anybody at any stage of pregnancy,\u201d she suggested, \u201cyou can minimize it [and] you can say, \u2018Oh, you\u2019re only this many weeks [or] that many weeks.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jill announced: \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She explained: \u201cLike, whatever you feel is going to remember your baby and remember their life in a significant way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, Jill is speaking personally \u2014 and also referring to miscarriages that people know about. The setback is traumatic and catastrophic.<\/p>\n<p>Others may find that they would have added another child to an existing family. Feelings on this can run the full spectrum.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, not even Jill seems to be telling others how to feel. She\u2019s expressing her <em>own <\/em>heartache and loss.<\/p>\n<p>Knowing the Duggar cult and their extreme beliefs, some on social media may feel tempted to get drawn into a personhood debate. That is pointless \u2014 and not even relevant.<\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\">This is about Jill\u2019s sense of loss more than anything else.
