\t\t<\/p>\n Mickey Rourke<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out for the first time after he was forced to leave his house.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, the 73-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was ordered to vacate his Los Angeles after a judge ruled in favor of his landlord, Eric Goldie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a new statement, Mickey<\/strong> addressed his decision to withhold nearly $60,000 in rent.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cThe reason I stopped paying rent was because the living conditions in the house had become unacceptable,\u201d Mickey<\/strong> told E! News<\/a><\/em> on Wednesday (March 11). \u201cFor months there were serious problems that repeatedly went unaddressed despite my efforts to have them fixed.\u201d<\/p>\n The boxer turned actor said that there were \u201congoing rodent issues\u201d that were \u201cnever fully resolved\u201d and that he was dealing with frequent issues with the bathroom and plumbing. While he claimed that he made \u201crepeated requests for repairs,\u201d Mickey<\/strong> alleged that the issues were not fixed and \u201cbasic maintenance was never properly handled.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWithholding rent was not a decision I made lightly,\u201d Mickey<\/strong> added. \u201cI simply could not continue paying for a house that was in such poor condition after so many attempts to have these issues corrected.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the court documents, the judgment was filed by default in favor of the landlord, giving him \u201cpossession only\u201d of the L.A. property, canceling the rental agreement and forfeiting the lease, although it made no mention of the past-due rent Mickey<\/strong> still owed or his claims about the condition of the home. <\/p>\n After it was first revealed in December 2025 that Mickey<\/strong> was facing eviction<\/a>, a GoFundMe was set up, which had raised more than $100,000 to help pay his rent. Mickey<\/strong> later denied any responsibility for the fundraiser<\/a>, which he described as \u201cembarrassing.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
