The 2026 Academy Awards<\/a> will serve as a festive backdrop for an array of high-profile reunions.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a huge reunion happening,\u201d Oscars executive producer Raj Kapoor<\/strong> teased during a Wednesday, March 11, press conference. \u201cThere\u2019s been rumors of what that is, and we are very excited to announce that we have a Bridesmaids<\/i> reunion that is going to be very special.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bridesmaids, <\/i>which premiered in 2011, costarred Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper<\/strong> and Rose Byrne<\/strong><\/a> as Maya Rudolph<\/strong>\u2019s bridal party in a raucous pre-nuptial romp. Byrne is also nominated at the 2026 Oscars for her role in If I Had Legs I\u2019d Kick You<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bridesmaids\u2019<\/b><\/h2>\n

Oscar nominee Rose Byrne<\/a> will join forces with Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph and Melissa McCarthy to mark the raunchy comedy\u2019s 15th anniversary.<\/p>\n

Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/b><\/h2>\n

Oscars producer Katy Mullan confirmed in a pre-ceremony press conference that there will \u201cbe a Marvel reunion for the superhero fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re gonna have superstar superheroes, and there is also going to be an extraterrestrial on the stage,\u201d Mullan teased. \u201cSo you can figure that one out.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unknown whether the \u201cextraterrestrial\u201d will be related to the MCU segment and one of the comics\u2019 out-of-this-world characters or a nod to a different alien movie, perhaps like Drew Barrymore<\/strong>\u2019s E.T. <\/i>or Sigourney Weaver<\/strong>\u2019s Alien.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u2018When Harry Met Sally\u2019<\/b><\/h2>\n

Billy Crystal<\/strong> and Meg Ryan<\/strong> are expected to lead an \u201cIn Memoriam\u201d tribute<\/a> to their When Harry Met Sally <\/i>director, Rob Reiner<\/strong>. (Rob and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner<\/strong>, were found dead with multiple stab wounds in December 2025. The couple\u2019s son Nick was subsequently charged with two counts of murder but has pleaded not guilty.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t feel like we\u2019re at a place where we want to share what exactly what we\u2019re doing for In Memoriam,\u201d show executive producer Raj Kapoor said in a press conference before the ceremony. \u201cAll I can say is that a lot of time and thought has been put into the process of creating something really meaningful that has a lot of emotion and heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to fellow executive producer Katy Mullan, she and Kapoor have been discussing the perfect memorial tribute for \u201cmany, many months.\u201d<\/p>\n
