Katherine Heigl<\/strong><\/a> has already released a statement in response to her appearance at Trump<\/strong>\u2018s Mar-a-Lago this week and now she\u2019s replying directly to fans who are slamming her.<\/p>\n

The former Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em> star attended the Wine, Women & Shoes Benefiting Big Dog Ranch Rescue event<\/a> over the weekend in Florida. The animal rescue charity fundraiser was co-chaired by President Trump<\/strong>\u2018s daughter-in-law Lara Trump<\/strong><\/a> and took place at his resort, so people have been connecting the event to political ties. <\/p>\n

Katherine<\/strong> has stated that her appearance was all about the animals.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnimals don\u2019t vote\u2026 As a society, we should all come together to protect the voiceless and the innocent. This should not be a polarizing issue,\u201d she said in her statement to Just Jared<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Katherine<\/strong> went to the comments section of our Instagram post and replied directly to people who were criticizing her. <\/p>\n
