Dr. Terry Dubrow<\/strong> is speaking out about the recent discourse surrounding Jim Carrey<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s looks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been asking me about Jim Carrey, Bradley Cooper<\/strong>. It\u2019s like, what do you say when you\u2019re confronted with that stuff? It\u2019s so mean, right?\u201d Dubrow, 67, said of paparazzi frequently asking him to weigh in on celebrities\u2019 appearances during his Monday, March 9, appearance on Tori Spelling<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cMisSpelling\u201d podcast.<\/p>\n

The plastic surgeon continued, \u201cThe big deal that just happened with Jim Carrey and the Lifetime Achievement Award in Paris, and he looks so different, and all [critics] wanna do is talk about the way poor Jim Carrey looks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrey, 64, made a rare public appearance at the 51st C\u00e9sar Awards in Paris on February 26 to accept an Honorary C\u00e9sar Award. Following the awards show, footage of Carrey\u2019s acceptance speech went viral as fans commented on the Grinch<\/em> star\u2019s unrecognizable facial features, with some people even going so far as to speculate that he was replaced by a clone.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAlexis Stone, the makeup artist known for morphing himself into some of the world\u2019s biggest stars, is at the center of internet speculation. Fans are wondering if Jim Carrey really attended the 51st C\u00e9sar Film Awards, or if it was Stone in makeup and prosthetics, after the special effects artist claimed he pulled off one [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cJim Carrey\u2019s visit has been planned since this summer,\u201d Gregory Caulier<\/strong>, the general delegate for the C\u00e9sar Awards, said in a statement<\/a> after the bizarre clone theory began to circulate. \u201cFrom the outset, he was extremely touched by the Academy\u2019s invitation. Dubrow said on Monday that fans were \u201cused to seeing\u201d Carrey looking \u201cyoung\u201d for \u201cso many years,\u201d admitting that the actor does look \u201cdifferent\u201d now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI still think he looks great,\u201d the Botched<\/em> star continued.<\/p>\n

While Dubrow does not know whether Carrey has ever had plastic surgery, the doctor said that swelling in someone\u2019s face could \u201ctake a long time to go down\u201d after a procedure and thus temporarily change someone\u2019s appearance.<\/p>\n
