Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> is threatening to escalate his war with Iran, which he confusingly stated was both \u201cvery complete\u201d and \u201cjust the beginning.\u201d <\/p>\n The 79-year-old president addressed the press on Monday (March 9). During the conference, he was asked to explain how he could justify telling CBS News<\/a> earlier in the day that the war was \u201cvery complete, pretty much\u201d while Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth<\/strong><\/a> has implied that it\u2019s \u201cjust the beginning.\u201d <\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> attempted to explain how both claims could make sense. Hours later, he issued a new threat to Iran. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI think you could say both,\u201d Trump<\/strong> told a reporter when asked to explain the conflicting claims. \u201cIt\u2019s the beginning of building a new country. But they certainly\u2026 They have no navy, they have no air force, they have no anti-aircraft equipment. It\u2019s all been blown up. They have no radar. They have no telecommunications. And they have no leadership. It\u2019s all gone.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, saying, \u201cWe could call it a tremendous success right now as we leave here. Or we could go further. And we\u2019re going to go further.\u201d <\/p>\n The president further claimed that \u201cthe big risk\u201d involving Iran had \u201cbeen over for three days.\u201d<\/p>\n As he continued to answer questions, he provided more of an explanation for what it will look like when Trump<\/strong> is ready to move on from the conflict. <\/p>\n He said that the end will look like \u201cwhere they\u2019re not going to be starting the following day to develop a nuclear weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump<\/strong> also said that United States allies in the Middle East were \u201cvery lucky that I was president instead of somebody else\u201d after implying that Iran was planning to execute strikes in the area. <\/p>\n He said that the country had plans to \u201ctake over the Middle East.\u201d<\/p>\n After arguing both sides of the conflicting phrases, Trump<\/strong> warned Iran that he was prepared to ramp up the strikes, seemingly implying that the war was indeed not over. <\/p>\n \u201cIf Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far,\u201d he threatened on Truth Social<\/a>. <\/p>\n He continued, writing, \u201cAdditionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again \u2014 Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them \u2014 But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!\u201d<\/p>\n The president\u2019s latest remarks on oil come after he insulted Americans<\/a> who were concerned that the war would lead to higher gas prices<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
