\t\t<\/p>\n Singer-songwriter David Archuleta<\/strong><\/a> is a guest on the podcast<\/a> \u201cThe Art of Kindness,\u201d out today (March 9), and Just Jared<\/strong> has an exclusive clip from the interview with host Robert Peterpaul<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The 35-year-old American Idol<\/em> alum has been promoting his new memoir, \u201cDevout,\u201d<\/a> and during his interview on the podcast, he revealed he had recently reconnected with Demi Lovato<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t know, David <\/strong>and Demi <\/strong>go way back to 2009, when he opened for her Demi Lovato: Live in Concert<\/em> tour. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n David <\/strong>said, \u201cSomeone that I reconnected with recently, like right before the book came out actually was Demi Lovato<\/strong>. And I thought that was really sweet\u2026the last time we had seen each other, we were both teenagers. And so to reconnect and be like, look at us now, like we\u2019ve gone through so much\u2026to say like\u2026you look great. And she\u2019s like, you look great\u2026.we\u2019re doing so well and we\u2019ve grown up and we\u2019ve matured and we\u2019ve gotten through our lows and\u2026the highs and the lows and rollercoaster of life.\u201d <\/p>\n He then shared, \u201cI thought that was really sweet just to like be happy for each other\u2026It hasn\u2019t been easy for her\u2026I went on tour with her. I co-headlined her tour in 2009 and she had to cancel some of that tour. She\u2019s very public about her journey of going to rehab and having to get some help<\/a> and so to see that she\u2019s in a good place now after that, it\u2019s not easy to do that in front of everybody watching and everybody kind of throwing their opinions at you.\u201d <\/p>\n David<\/strong> added, \u201cBut she\u2019s made it here and she\u2019s been recently married<\/a> and she\u2019s just thriving. Her new music<\/a> \u2013 she\u2019s killing it. So it was a nice kind of reconnection to have.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
