Tori Spelling and her family fled their infested home<\/a>, they\u2019re not out of the woods yet.<\/p>\nYes, they found new lodgings and are back to making public appearances.<\/p>\n
But the chronic, then-unexplained ailments went on for months. And the infestation lasted for years.<\/p>\n

Her husband, Dean McDermott, was living in the same house for almost the entire infestation period. (Remember, they went through an apparent rough patch, but never actually pulled the trigger on a real separation)<\/p>\n
Their five kids were there, too. In fact, at this point, young Beau spent a hefty proportion of his life in a hazardous home.<\/p>\nTori Spelling shared this outdoor selfie in April of 2023. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nOn Wednesday, Tori asked her fans and followers \u2014 by way of her Instagram Story \u2014 if they had any recommendations.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnyone know a MRI place in the San Fernando Valley\/or Los Angeles area that does 3TMRI brain scans (not 1.5) as well as neuroquant?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n
Neuroquant is a software that analyzes MRI results. Tori concluded her Story post with a praying hands emoji.<\/p>\nTaking to her Instagram Story, Tori Spelling revealed that she and her family members need to undergo brain scans after living with an extremely hazardous mold infestation. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nIn May, Tori revealed that not only was her family still experiencing repeated illnesses, but that they were no longer a mystery.<\/p>\n
The culprit was mold. Not moldy bred or cheese or a shower liner that needed replacing.<\/p>\n
Apparently, their home \u2014 which they were renting \u2014 turned out to be a \u201chazard\u201d to human health and was uninhabitable, per a house inspector.<\/p>\nOnce again at Urgent Care with her family, Tori Spelling shared photos to warn followers about the hidden dangers of mold. The \u201cextreme mold\u201d news came in May. She had spent time in the hospital even last year, in 2022, with respiratory problems.<\/p>\n
Tori shared with her followers that it was not just a problem for their health, but also with the schools. These repeated absences were obviously a problem for the kids.<\/p>\nIn this lengthy caption, Tori Spelling shared her family\u2019s story of repeated illnesses. The culprit? Dangerous mold in their home. (Instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nTori added that the mold had been \u201cslowly killing\u201d her and her family for the last three years.<\/p>\n
It is likely that the mold was not as intense in the past. At least, that is what we ware assuming. These infestations grow and intensify over time.<\/p>\n
Now, she and her family are out of the hazard. But, as we noted, not out of the woods. The health consequences could last for years.<\/p>\nIn December of 2022, Tori Spelling shared that she had trouble breathing and was once again seeking medical care. At the time, it was a mystery ailment. (instagram)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nLong-term mold exposure can cause lasting and even lifelong adverse health effects. Tori is at risk, and so is her whole family.<\/p>\n
And the chronic exposure can cause inflammation in the body. Over time, this can mean prolonged inflammation of the brain. That, in turn, can lead to long term cognitive impairment.<\/p>\n
