Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s father, Mathew Knowles<\/strong><\/a>, walked out of an interview after receiving a comment regarding ex-wife Tina Knowles<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 involvement in the success of Destiny\u2019s Child.<\/p>\n

During an interview for local New York City news outlet PIX 11<\/em>, published via its YouTube<\/a> channel on January 31, anchor Kendis Gibson<\/strong> raised the topic of Destiny\u2019s Child, Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s former girl group, that Mathew, 74, managed and executive-produced across various projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cI said the same thing to Ms. Tina Knowles, you guys put in the work, and obviously the talent was there with your kids,\u201d Gibson, 53, remarked, referring to Mathew and Tina\u2019s daughters<\/a>, Beyonc\u00e8, 44, and Solange Knowles<\/strong>, 39. (Mathew is also father to son Nixon, 16, whom he shares with ex Alexandra Wright<\/strong>, and daughter Koi, 15, whom he shares with TaQoya Branscomb<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Mathew then interrupted to address the comment about Tina, 72, asking Gibson, \u201cWhat work did she put in?\u201d to which a visibly caught-off-guard Gibson responded with \u201cthe hair.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tina owned a beauty salon and styled Destiny\u2019s Child members Michelle Williams<\/strong>, Kelly Rowland<\/strong> and Beyonce\u2019s hair, in addition to former band members\u2019, before they achieved global success.<\/p>\n

The music executive was then pushed further by Gibson, who suggested that Tina \u201cclaimed to have preyed on the name [Destiny\u2019s Child] and different aspects of that,\u201d before stating that \u201cit\u2019s a joint effort,\u201d to which Mathew agreed.<\/p>\n

Matthew then abruptly asked to \u201cstop\u201d the interview \u201cnow,\u201d before standing up and shaking hands with Gibson.<\/p>\n

The sudden end to their interview led Gibson to ask Mathew, \u201cSorry, did I say something wrong?\u201d to which Mathew assured him that the situation was \u201call good\u201d and thanked him several times.<\/p>\n
