Pink<\/a> teamed up with her daughter on the show too, as they sang Hopeless War from the Outsiders musical together.<\/p>\n\nLast week, Pink was spotted in NYC amid reports she was replacing Kelly on the NBC daytime talk show after seven seasons.<\/p>\n
\nKelly confirmed earlier this month she would be ending her run on the programme later next month.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer, who first rose to prominence as the inaugural winner of American Idol, has hosted the NBC series since its launch.<\/p>\n
\nAn insider previously told Page Six that Pink has been under consideration to succeed her. <\/p>\n
\nThe source said: \u201cShe\u2019s been guest-hosting and it seems she\u2019s doing very well, and that\u2019s the plan.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHowever, Pink – who is spending this whole week at the helm – has insisted the position is temporary.<\/p>\n
\nShe said in a since-deleted Instagram video: “Hi everybody. Just in a continuation of debunking all of the sources that we’ve got going on in the world.”<\/p>\n
\nThe pop star made clear that her week of guest hosting was simply a favour for a friend, and that a permanent role was never on the cards.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “I’m not taking over The Kelly Clarkson Show. I’m doing a fun thing for my buddy Kelly, because it’s a fun thing.<\/p>\n
\n“If I wanted a talk show, I would not have to audition. I would just have one, and it would be amazing, not something I’m currently researching or looking for in my busy, busy, busy world.”<\/p>\n
\nKelly previously revealed that she planned to spend more time with her kids, following the death of their father Brandon Blackstock in August, aged 48.<\/p>\n
\nShe said on Instagram: “This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting \u2018The Kelly Clarkson Show’. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. (sic)”<\/p>\n
