The 46-year-old actor’s wife, author Katherine Schwarzenegger, is fortunate to have a spouse with an abundance of hope and happiness.<\/p>\n
She told People: “For a variety of reasons, I’m grateful that I married Chris. But one of them … [is] being able to have someone who brings humour in challenging times.<\/p>\n
“Even when not funny, someone who can also make you laugh in a really hard time is really important.<\/p>\n
“He definitely does that, so I’m really grateful for that.”<\/p>\n
\nKatherine, 36, and Chris have daughters Lyla, five, and Eloise, three, as well as a two-year-old son named Ford.<\/p>\n
\nAnd Chris kept everyone entertained when their household was struck down with the flu.<\/p>\n
\nKatherine – who is also stepmom to Chris’ 13-year-old son Jack, whom he has with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris – recalled: “I would say that he’s definitely always really humour-filled. <\/p>\n
\n“Even when he’s sick, he’s making jokes that make a rough situation or a rough week have some lighthearted moments.”<\/p>\n
\nKatherine – whose parents are acting legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, 78, and 70-year-old journalist Maria Shriver – and Chris started dating in 2018, the same year he and Anna, 49, finalised their divorce after nine years of marriage.<\/p>\n
\nIn 2019, Katherine and Chris got married during an intimate ceremony at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California.<\/p>\n
\nNow seven years on, the author has revealed what keeps her and Chris’ relationship alive.<\/p>\n
\nKatherine – who met the Guardians of the Galaxy actor at a Hollywood church – said: “[It’s] just knowing that we’re teammates in so much of life, and especially in parenting, which has its ups and downs.”<\/p>\n
\nIn February, Chris revealed he treats every day like Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n
\nThe Mercy star told Extra: “Katherine is somebody who does not love to go out on Valentine’s Day.<\/p>\n
\n“She thinks it’s like a little bit too busy out there, but that just means that every day that’s not Valentine’s Day, I have to treat it like Valentine’s Day.”<\/p>\n
\nDuring an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show last year, Chris shared how his and Katherine’s relationship has been moving at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n
\nThe Jurassic World cast member said: “God has a fast-forward button. When it’s right, boom. You fall in love, you get married. Now we have two beautiful daughters to add to my family.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd Chris described his wife as the “woman of [his] dreams”.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “My own journey, finding a higher power and leaning on that and being like, ‘Please save me,’ and then feeling saved. <\/p>\n
\n“And then shortly later, finding the woman of my dreams.”<\/p>\n
