Apparently, everything’s coming up Paramount. \u00a0The seventh installment in the Scream<\/b> series provided the biggest opening weekend numbers for the series by a good margin, and led to Paramount’s first top spot at the box office in nearly a year. Scream 7<\/b> also made $33.1 million more overseas, for a total take of $97.2 million on a $45 million budget.<\/p>\n
GOAT<\/b> fell to second place with a $12 million take, dropping just 29% from last weekend. It’s made $130.5 million on an $80 million budget, but will face direct competition from Hoppers<\/b> for family audiences next weekend.<\/p>\n
Wuthering Heights<\/b> came in third with a $7 million haul in its third weekend out, bringing its domestic total to $72.3 million and its worldwide tally to $192 million on an $80 million budget.<\/p>\n
After expanding from solely IMAX theaters to almost 2,000 screens, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert<\/b> brought in an additional $3.5 million for fourth place, bringing its total take to $7.8 million. Crime 101 <\/b>came in close behind with $3.4 million, making $30 million domestically in three weeks of release.<\/p>\n
