\t\t<\/p>\n Delroy Lindo<\/strong><\/a> is thanking his peers in a new statement following the racial slur outburst<\/a> at the 2026 BAFTAs <\/em>earlier this month. <\/p>\n The 73-year-old actor took to the stage to present an award with director Ryan Coogler<\/strong><\/a> at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards<\/em> at Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Saturday night (February 28) in Pasadena, Calif., where he briefly addressed the incident. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI appreciate all the support and the love we\u2019ve been shown in the aftermath of what happened last weekend. It means a lot to us. It\u2019s an honor to be here this evening,\u201d Delroy<\/strong> said, via The Wrap<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n Prior to him speaking, Delroy<\/strong> and Ryan <\/strong>received a standing ovation from the audience when they walked on stage to present the award for Best Actress In a Motion Picture, which was awarded to Cynthia Erivo<\/strong><\/a> for Wicked: For Good<\/em>.<\/p>\n Also during the awards show on Saturday night, Regina Hall<\/strong><\/a> took to the stage to present the Breakthrough Performance In a Motion Picture award, when she took a moment for Delroy<\/strong> and Michael B Jordan<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n She asked the crowd to \u201ctake a moment for the two kings in the audience,\u201d while gesturing towards them.<\/p>\n \u201cI just send you so much love for your class,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n At the NAACP Image Awards<\/em>, Delroy<\/strong> picked up the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for his work in Sinners<\/em>.
