\nSelena’s vows then caused another problem, because the 33-year-old star had to call Benny to ask him to tell his friend Lil’ Dicky – whose real name is David Burd – to remove the parts of his speech when officiating the ceremony that overlapped with what she was planning to say.<\/p>\n
\nBenny recalled: “She said, \u2018Hey, just make sure Dave doesn\u2019t say anything about this part or this part because it\u2019s part of my speech.’ And that was the whole opening three minutes of his speech.”<\/p>\n
\nThe rapper joked: \u201cI wanted to push back, but it was her wedding.”<\/p>\n
\nBut he insisted his speech “really turned out great.”<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I’m very proud of myself.”<\/p>\n
\nNot only did Dicky officiate Benny and Selena’s wedding, the 37-year-old producer served as best man when his Friends Keep Secrets podcast co-host tied the knot with Kristin Batalucco last year.<\/p>\n
\nDicky said: “We were heavily involved [in each other’s weddings]. We didn’t each have a best man, but I officiated his and he gave the speech from like my male point of view at my wedding, and it was great.”<\/p>\n
\nBenny added: “It was incredible. Unbelievable.”<\/p>\n
\nNot only was she crying before her wedding, but Selena recently revealed she was “sobbing” afterwards because she couldn’t help but fear the worst.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference, she said: “I would say that\u2019s my biggest conflict sometimes when wonderful things happen.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna die the next day.\u2019 I just think that\u2019s a little life thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
